FEEDING OUR FAITH TOGETHER

Every member of this Christian community has a place among us and a role to play in the life of our church.

We choose to walk together to encourage one another to a deepening of faith and relationship with Jesus Christ, and come to know how much we need the Word of God and the Holy Eucharist in our lives.

WELCOME TO OUR COMMUNITY

St. Hyacinthe is a vibrant and active community sharing their faith together. We are of Catholic origin but welcome all people to our celebrations and to explore their faith.

Masses are offered every Sunday. There is an active Catechism program for children. And our Knights of Columbus are active in helping within the church and the community.

A Board of Trustees oversees church function and a pastoral council manages all the categories that make our church community prosper.

IT'S A NEW SCHOOL AND PARISH YEAR!

A FRESH START FOR ALL OF US!

Hello dear parishioners and friends,

I trust you enjoyed a wonderful summer and are now ready, with enthusiasm and confidence, to begin a new school and parish year. May we want this year to be for every person the right time to deepen one’s relationship with God, family and neighbours, with Creation, with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, with the Lord walking with us every day, in every moment.

I invite you to join me and many others to celebrate Mass and the Holy Eucharist at our beautiful St. Hyacinthe Church. Be most welcome in this church, as you have a place here, and you and every parishioner brings character and vitality to this Christian community.

I look forward to greeting you whenever you decide to be with us for Mass at the church. If age, illness or mobility keeps you from being with us in person, know that Sunday Mass is livestreamed for your benefit and spiritual needs. Your participation in the life of St. Hyacinthe Parish and the sharing of your prayers are essential for the people of God.

So come, and with us, celebrate God who walks with us, loves us, and now gifts us with fresh beginnings.

Yours in Christ Jesus, on behalf of Parish Pastoral Council and Trustees,

Father Gabriel Levesque, Pastor

MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, It is with joy and humility that I accepted my appointment as Pastor of St. Hyacinthe Parish of La Salle. Since August 1st, 2019, I began this new chapter in my priestly life with confidence. I was born and raised in the town of St. Jean Baptiste, Manitoba, the youngest of a family of four children. I am 52 years old. I was ordained in the St. Boniface Cathedral on June 5th, 2003, and so I have been a priest for 18 years.

Every day, I pray for all my parishioners and especially for those who need my prayers the most. I am always available to be of service in any way I can. If you or someone you know in the community is in need, I hope you will call on me.

The St. Hyacinthe Parish and I are there for you. We look forward to having you back at the parish church and to continue our journey of faith together. Everyone is valued. Each person and family are what makes this Christian community a vibrant and happy place to be. The St. Hyacinthe Parish is a good place to grow in faith and fellowship, a place where you belong. We consider it a joy to serve this church and all its members. You will be welcomed when you decide it is time to return. Since the parish is a Pastor's family, I personally miss all whom I have not seen in a long time due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I pray that you are safe, healthy and happy.

May God's blessings be with you!

–Father Gabriel Levesque
